WALTHER PPS/P99C RSS
| Rating: | 4 of 5 - Good |
| Pros: | Works as advertised as it should...hard to get used it going on and off while practicing my draw |
| Cons: | as above mentioned you need to practice or it will go on and off.
No big deal, just a little PITA till you get the hang of it. |

The RSS (Reactive Sighting System) is a marvel of modern micro-electronics.
Weighing less than one ounce with batteries installed on your pistol, this tiny
and sleek touch-activated laser system is specifically designed for the short
Weaver and Picatinny rails found on many of today's popular sub-compact pistols
as well as the graduated rail notches on larger pistols. The RSS will fit
on the short rails of both the Walther PPS and the P99C.
Lasers like Lasermax's Uni-Max and most others won't fit on these
sub-compacts because they are too long.
Featuring True Touch Activation, which on the RSS works like a toggle-switch,
just all electronically. Extend your finger and touch the silver plated wing tip
on either side(ambidextrious) to turn the laser on. Touch it again to turn off.
Very simple, streamlined and easy. Its virtually impossible not to touch the
strip when you extend your finger and tap the side of the pistol. There is no
fumbling around for an akward switch. Your RSS is ready when you are. The RSS's
sophisticated electronics recoginize that a human finger has touched it and that
is what turns the laser on.
Features a very bright next-generation 635nm 4.5mW laser module which is
fully adjustable for both windage and elevation and STAYS adjusted no matter how
many rounds you fire.
The RSS packs all of our laser module technology, touch-activation, and
full-sized button cell batteries all in a base that is barely over one inch in
length. Excellent battery life as we were able to pack 4 Silver Oxide 386 cells
into the tiny RSS housing. These are common and inexpensive batteries found at
drug stores, WalMart, Radio Shack, etc. This website also has great deals on
German-made Varta versions of the 386.
The RSS hugs the bottom of the barrel shroud as closely as possible adding
only 0.4 of an inch. This low profile means the RSS will work on a good number of
popular holsters readily available for your Walther PPS without modification or
a custom holster.
The RSS is made from the same DuPont Zytel ST-8018 Engineered Polymer that
pistol manufacturers use in their polymer frames, so its as tough as the pistols
they are designed for. Drop it or abuse it, the RSS will stay on rock-solid and
keep beaming.
Pictured is the RSS on a Walther PPS Sub Compact.
Upgrade
Program:
Let's
say you buy an ArmaLaser for a Glock and then sell it and buy a Kahr or a
Kel-Tec. You can send in your old ArmaLaser and for $29 we can rehouse the
expensive electronics in a new polymer housing for your new model
pistol.
Let's
say we make an improvement or offer a green laser version in the future. For a
specified fee, you can upgrade your system to the newer one.

As an ArmaLaser owner,
the experience doesn't end when we get your money like it is with many other
companies. We have programs in place that will always help keep you protected
even as technologies and your needs change.
