Why we don’t like pressure switches for polymer pistols:

PRESSURE SWITCHES ARE NOT TRUE-TOUCH ACTIVATION.

Pressure switches are fine and dandy when imbedded into rubber or plastic grips where the depth of the switch can be hidden into the grip. The problem is that you can’t imbed a pressure switch onto most polymer pistols that don’t have a changeable back-strap. So you’re stuck putting all components
ON TOP OF THE GRIP.

The penalty to this is different grips levels and pressure. One finger is on another level than the rest, and also needs to be squeezed in order to turn the laser on.

Bottom line: They feel weird. And they inhibit the natural movement of the most important finger on a pistol grip -
THE RING FINGER!

Try an experiment: tape a thicker button cell battery on the grip of your pistol and ask yourself if that is comfortable to shoot or hinders your ability to grasp the pistol properly. I think you'll see then why our touch-activation technology is the key for pocket and sub-compact polymer pistols.

Quick accurate shots and handling of your pistol relies on your ring finger. If that finger has to do the job of moving a pressure switch AND feels akward, you won’t be doing your groups or your self-defense training any favors.

The ring finger is so important for control especially in smaller pistols where you can’t get more than 2 fingers on the grip.

The shorter the grip, the more awkward a pressure switch on top of the grip feels.

opted for a more streamlined design by housing only 2 batteries.

We chose 4 batteries for these two reasons:

TO DOUBLE THE TIME NEEDED BETWEEN BATTERY CHANGES

The ArmaLaser will run on only 2 batteries, however, We killed 2 birds with 1 stone by adding an extra battery compartment. This way, we got the block outline we wanted AND doubled the battery capacity.

THE BLOCK OUTLINE ISN’T ONLY FOR POCKET CARRY.

Take a look at the following picture. It shows how the blocky outline helps the DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster to create a more wallet-like look in your pocket. If it does that with the holster, imagine how it works when you don’t have a holster or if you are using a belt clip.

Let’s say you buy an ArmaLaser for a Glock and then sell it and buy a Kahr or a Kel-Tec. You can send in your old ArmaLaser and for $29 we can rehouse the expensive electronics in a new polymer housing for your new model pistol.

Let’s say we make an improvement or offer a green laser version in the future. For a specified fee, you can upgrade your system to the newer one.
